Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
Typically minimum 6 years relevant experience (or high school diploma with 8+ years professional experience in full life cycle design and development)
Wide-ranging experience using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively
Experience with in-depth evaluation of variable factors for complex issues
Knowledge of IBM Mainframe Systems & Hardware Platform: COBOL, JCL, CICS, SQL, z/OS, DB2, IMS, Assembler, VSAM
Thorough knowledge of procedures, methodologies, application standards, PCI and security-related compliance

Responsibilities

Oversee application systems, architecture, design, data workflow, logical processes, and system interfaces
Assure synergy between software and hardware architecture to maximize performance
Determine and develop architectural approaches and solutions
Conduct business reviews, document current systems, and develop recommendations
Ensure optimal application and system performance
Collaborate with clients and functional areas to design IT Roadmaps illustrating architectural complexities and system interactions
Analyze, refine, and document business requirements
Analyze existing systems to detect deficiencies and recommend improvements
Plan and design information systems and implement updates within guidelines
Research technological advances to assess compliance with systems requirements and recommend solutions for needs, improvements, and controls
Assist in RFP and vendor selection processes; make recommendations for future system needs
Provide technical architecture and support across applications; guide functional areas on software/hardware requirements, infrastructure planning, and capacity planning
Write or modify software programs including analysis, specifications, code, installation, and documentation for multi-application/user database systems
Maintain information systems by configuring software/hardware, tracking errors/data movement, and troubleshooting
Solicit feedback from internal customers and IT teams to evaluate system performance
