Requirements

  • Currently a sophomore pursuing an undergrad Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related field (graduation May 2028)
  • Preference to WI residents and WI students
  • Intermediate computer/technical skills in Microsoft products
  • Programming experience in Python, C#, JavaScript, or other object-oriented languages
  • React experience preferred
  • AWS or cloud systems experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Software development & implementation of test applications
  • Coding and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software for internal and external customers
  • Writing programs according to given specifications using tools like JIRA, Git, AWS and languages like Python, JavaScript or C#
  • Collaborating across departments to learn and understand problems with software
  • Software development & design, including installing, configuring, testing, project plans and verification
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing software applications written in different programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C, C++, VB6, VB.NET)
  • Assisting in creating reports, memos, status updates
  • Quickly learning new technologies
  • Investigating customer issues for software performance to identify product solutions
  • Maintaining confidentiality of company intellectual property and customer information
