Candidates should have between 1 to 5 years of industry experience in designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems in production, with recent experience in building large scale cloud services. A BS in Computer Science or a related degree is required. Strong development skills in Java, Python, and SQL are essential, along with strong fundamentals in computer science skills. Knowledge and experience in security, governance, privacy, and compliance areas is a plus but not required.
The Software Engineer will work on highly impactful initiatives from idea formulation to design and implementation. They will innovate, design, and build highly available, reliable, and secure distributed services and solutions within the global Snowflake platform. The engineer will also ensure operational readiness of services, leading incident management and mitigation discussions, and meeting customer commitments for security, reliability, availability, and performance.
