Requirements

3+ years of back-end experience with strong PHP proficiency and deep understanding of Laravel core principles (MVC, Eloquent, Routing, and other framework features) as well as OOP
Ideally recent versions of Laravel
Ideally 1+ years frontend experience, preferably with Vue.js version 2 or 3
Experience with modern Javascript
Good eye for detail and strong API design and performance focus
Effective problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality, reusable, and well-tested Laravel components and features for our core platform, contributing to platform growth, having automated testing
Own the full-stack implementation of key product features, translating high level requirements and design specifications into performant and scalable code, directly impacting the user productivity
Optimize existing Laravel applications for maximum speed and scalability, achieving a quicker response time
Collaborate effectively with other engineers, designers, and product managers throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and timely delivery of features
Champion best practices in back-end development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation, and mentoring junior developers (where applicable)
Maintain and improve current codebase, proactively identifying and addressing areas to improve through refactoring and/or optimisation, improving code quality metrics
Work on core feature development, performance optimisation (API and database perspective), code reviews, automated testing, API integration, and metrics/measurements of newly released features
Regular collaboration with team and adjacent teams to ensure improvements in user-experience, performance, and new feature development
