Requirements

Candidates must possess at least five years of experience as a Backend Developer with Java, demonstrating proficiency in developing clean and maintainable code utilizing design patterns and architectural principles. Strong Computer Science fundamentals, experience with relational RDBMS such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Postgres, and familiarity with code quality practices including testing frameworks are required. Knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle, experience with version control systems like Git, and familiarity with AWS, particularly in developing cloud-native applications, are also necessary.

Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Sonar, you will collaborate with Product Managers and UX designers to specify new features and improve the product, develop those features with the end user in mind, and write unit and integration tests. You will push and monitor your features into production, troubleshoot production problems related to your work, interact with the community on the product forum, participate in agile methodologies, contribute to defining team goals, and work with an integrated (Dev and Ops) team during sprints. Additionally, you will be part of an on-call rotation to provide timely support and address critical system issues outside of regular working hours.
