Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or possess equivalent practical experience. They should have at least 8 years of experience building and managing large-scale, highly available, distributed web applications. Mastery of a high-level programming language such as Go, Python, or JavaScript is required, along with experience solving scale challenges in complex distributed systems. Candidates should also have experience owning technical architecture discussions and leading decisions for an engineering organization, as well as experience leading and mentoring engineers through technical projects and initiatives.
The Software Engineer will serve as a lead and senior member of the team, guiding initiatives and key projects while fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence. They will analyze, design, develop, maintain, and improve software infrastructure and platform capabilities, driving improvements in scalability, performance, and availability. The engineer will participate in cross-team initiatives to drive engineering best practices, collaborating with technical leaders to set the vision for strategic development efforts. Additionally, they will work with the InfoSec team to ensure compliance, observability, and automation for the platform's security.
