Software Engineer II

Candidates are required to possess a Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related discipline or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of professional software development experience. Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent programming languages is required, as is proficiency in data structures, database concepts, and algorithms. Additionally, proficiency in observability concepts and GraphQL APIs are necessary, and experience with event-driven architecture is highly desirable.
As a Software Engineer III, you will independently design and develop high-quality, scalable, and secure features, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, drive continuous improvement of development processes, and conduct thorough code reviews. Furthermore, you will mentor junior software engineers, stay current with emerging technologies, and contribute to OpenGov’s Engineering culture of innovation.
