Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience, with proven experience. Strong understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and data structures is required, along with experience developing Restful APIs in micro-services architecture using Java/J2EE OR technologies. Proficiency in software development in Linux environments and experience with other static code frameworks like AngularJSUnderstanding of Artificial Intelligence and Open Source Large Language Model is an advantage.

Responsibilities

In this role, the Software Engineer III will develop and improve Digital Foundational Software products, maintain a consistent user experience by adhering to Thermo Fisher UI/UX guidelines, and be involved in all stages of the software creation process including requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing. They will actively participate in scrum ceremonies, communicate technical details effectively, implement software efficiently, conduct unit testing and code reviews, and perform integration testing. The role also requires a proactive approach to identifying ways to continuously automate feature testing and establish measurable goals.
