Senior Software Engineer II

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, and a minimum of 3-5 years of software development experience. They should have experience working in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment, particularly in distributed or cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Proficiency in Typescript for at least two years, along with experience in Test Driven development, is required, as is knowledge of common design patterns.
As a Software Engineer II, you will support the team with design and technical guidance, sharing your experience and technical expertise to improve the team’s long-term technical strategic direction. You will be responsible for designing and implementing highly scalable web applications with serverless computing, contributing ideas for new features, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Furthermore, you will participate in building solutions for various Nike partner experiences and platforms, and contribute to mission-critical commerce applications focused on high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant systems, while working with globally distributed and diverse teams and utilizing monitoring and tracing tools like Splunk or SignalFx.
