As a Software Engineer on the Productivity Engineering team, you will be instrumental in building scalable and reliable platforms and tools using Git, Python, Jenkins, Airflow, Bazel, and the latest technologies. Your primary focus will be on problem-solving in the domain of software delivery and release process automation, collaborating closely with our DevX team and developers across the company.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scalable tools and platforms to support software delivery and release automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify pain points and implement innovative solutions.
• Design, code, test, and deploy high-quality CI/CD-based software solutions.
• Utilize the latest and greatest technologies to drive continuous improvement in our automation processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tools and platforms promptly.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our offerings remain cutting-edge.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years proven experience in building scalable and reliable platforms and tools using Python, Shell, and Jenkins.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong coding, design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving ability in Shell, Python, and C++.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Bazel Builds - Ability to modify existing Bazel Builds.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
  • Good understanding of SDLC process, Branching strategy & CI/CD.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to take up various roles in a startup environment with excellent communication skills and a strong team working ethic.
  • A creative, independent, self-motivated person willing to learn new technologies.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Range: 100,000.00 CAD - 125,000.00 CAD
  • Note: Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, location, and salary expectations. The offered salary may be at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range.
• Compensation: This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants.
