Requirements

Ability to problem solve and code across the stack, comfortable reading and contributing to the main product codebase in Node.js, React, and TypeScript
Applied AI experience, you've built or fine-tuned AI and LLM systems that automate complex data transformation, mapping, or validation tasks
Product-minded and able to connect backend data design with front-end user impact, treating data systems as part of a cohesive product experience

Responsibilities

Leverage AI to automate data transformation by training, evaluating, and deploying models that learn from past migrations to continuously improve mapping accuracy and data quality
Build self-serve import tooling that turns one-off engineering processes, like schema validation and field mapping, into reusable, productized tools for internal teams and customers
Own and evolve the data migration pipeline, redesigning how raw data, from CSVs to SQL dumps, flows into GovWell to create repeatable, auditable, and self-serve systems for non-engineers
Lead GIS data ingestion and integration through scalable pipelines that import and maintain spatial data from sources like ArcGIS REST APIs
Contribute directly to the core product by understanding how imported data drives in-app functionality, identifying friction points, and implementing improvements that elevate the overall GovWell experience
