Requirements

  • Ability to problem solve and code across the stack, comfortable reading and contributing to the main product codebase in Node.js, React, and TypeScript
  • Applied AI experience, you've built or fine-tuned AI and LLM systems that automate complex data transformation, mapping, or validation tasks
  • Product-minded and able to connect backend data design with front-end user impact, treating data systems as part of a cohesive product experience

Responsibilities

  • Leverage AI to automate data transformation by training, evaluating, and deploying models that learn from past migrations to continuously improve mapping accuracy and data quality
  • Build self-serve import tooling that turns one-off engineering processes, like schema validation and field mapping, into reusable, productized tools for internal teams and customers
  • Own and evolve the data migration pipeline, redesigning how raw data, from CSVs to SQL dumps, flows into GovWell to create repeatable, auditable, and self-serve systems for non-engineers
  • Lead GIS data ingestion and integration through scalable pipelines that import and maintain spatial data from sources like ArcGIS REST APIs
  • Contribute directly to the core product by understanding how imported data drives in-app functionality, identifying friction points, and implementing improvements that elevate the overall GovWell experience
