Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in Android product development, including building scalable and maintainable app architectures. Proficiency in Kotlin, understanding of multi-threading and asynchronous programming, and experience with Android frameworks are essential. Knowledge of design patterns like MVVM and MVC, experience with Android unit and UI testing frameworks, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines are also required. Experience with app submission processes and excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
The Software Engineer, Android will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and enhance mobile applications for members. They will dedicate 80-90% of their time to hands-on coding, acting as a technical leader and mentor, and solving complex programming and design problems. Responsibilities include leading large projects, anticipating infrastructure and architectural needs, proposing AI solutions, influencing project direction, researching and advocating for new technologies, and participating in the full agile software development life cycle.
