Our Software Engineering team is key to disrupting retail through technology. As a Software Engineer II, you will leverage your existing knowledge and continue to grow in your area of expertise. We empower our engineers to collaborate with their product teams, working in nimble teams composed of engineers, designers, and product managers. These teams are empowered to continuously create, test, and execute solutions, with the satisfaction of seeing their work impact our stores, online presence, and business operations.

Technical Expertise (Mobile - Android)

We expect understanding and experience in the following areas:

  • Kotlin: Demonstrating good knowledge as the applications are written in Kotlin.
  • Mobile Architecture: Understanding mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM.
  • UI Development: Comfort working with both Compose and XML for UI development.
  • Testing: Familiarity with Unit Testing, understanding what to test, and developing with testability in mind.
  • Version Control: Comfort working with Git for source control, providing feedback in code reviews, and accepting feedback.

  • Collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers.
  • Leverage cutting-edge technologies and modern software development practices.
  • Build and ship high-quality code at a rapid pace.

We expect you to:

  • Continuously learn modern software design and development core practices through articles, conferences, tech talks, etc.
  • Deliver tasks to production, working independently when required.
  • Write high-quality code using best practices and share your knowledge.
  • Review and discuss code with engineering peers and leaders to understand best practices and optimal design patterns.
  • Take the initiative to drive new ideas.
