Candidates should possess 3-5 years of software development experience, proficiency in Kotlin or Java with backend services integration, and experience with embedded systems or connected devices on Android OS. A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, along with familiarity with data analytics and logging tools such as Sentry, Amplitude, or OpenSearch. Knowledge of source control management, build processes, and CI/CD workflows is also required.
The Android Software Engineer will develop and maintain robust, complex features for Tonal’s embedded application, participating in design and agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product deliverables. They will work on cross-platform engineering challenges to improve the user experience, contribute to the evolution of the Tonal platform by exploring new technologies and suggesting enhancements, coordinate with teams to streamline development and testing, troubleshoot customer issues, and help build a quality-driven engineering culture while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
