Requirements

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience as a Developer and be proficient with backend technologies such as Python and Node.js, with Javascript being an asset. A strong understanding of databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, and in-memory stores such as Redis is required, along with experience with third-party LLMs (e.g., GPT, Azure, Anthropic). Experience deploying code, strong developer operations, and experience working with public APIs for reliable third-party integrations are also necessary. A commitment to personal growth, continued learning, a drive to improve those around you, and self-starter problem-solving communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

The Intermediate AI Engineer will focus on Ada's Reasoning Engine, retrieving first-party content, grounding LLMs, and generating replies to support questions. Responsibilities include shipping well-tested code with clear PR validation steps, adding unit and integration tests, defining and meeting SLOs, documenting edge cases, and tackling technical debt. Delivering features and fixes on time, demonstrating work, communicating value, reducing friction in build/test/deploy loops, and improving Automated Resolution by raising reliability and latency are key. Engineers are expected to seek and apply feedback, share learnings, stay current on the stack and LLM advances, build strong relationships, and offer help to teammates. Outcomes include executing the product roadmap, providing perspectives to improve development practices, reviewing code, fostering a collaborative community, teaching new skills, ensuring the best AI Agent platform experience, and participating in an on-call rotation for service support.
