Software Engineer, Zoom Phone

Position Overview

This role focuses on developing the Zoom Phone platform using Java and the Spring Boot framework. The engineer will be responsible for creating a secure and scalable platform leveraging modern cloud infrastructure technologies, including Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Report to the team manager and collaborate with others across the organization to achieve shared goals.
• Translate high-level roadmap vision into practical feature specifications and deliverables.
• Develop the Zoom Phone platform with Java using the Spring Boot framework.
• Create a secure and scalable platform using the latest cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs, AWS).
• Promote cloud-based test automation solutions and deployment strategies to optimize service performance and ensure product stability using AWS infrastructure (e.g., EC2, ECS, ElasticCache, S3).
• Build complex metrics solutions with data visualization support for relevant insights.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or a foreign degree equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Technical Skills:
  • 3 years of experience with Microservice architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
  • Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, Amazon DynamoDB).
  • Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, minimizing requests, database query optimization).
  • Understanding of distributed system architecture design or experience with high traffic, high concurrency system development.
  • Experience with cloud computing and application security.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $199,534.00 - $199,534.00
• Total Direct Compensation: Includes base salary, bonus, and equity value.
• Note: Starting pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Location-based compensation structures may apply.
