Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and designing large scale Web applications with high availability and reliability, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with one or more JavaScript UI toolkits, such as ReactJS, AngularJS, jQuery UI, ExtJS, EmberJS, BackboneJS (team works on ReactJS and Redux)
  • Experience with NodeJS and server-side JavaScript
  • Experience with Java
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Experience being the technical lead on a small to medium-sized project
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot software problems
  • Experience with a version control system (Git preferred, SVN, Perforce, or CVS experience acceptable)
  • Bonus: Familiarity with TypeScript
  • Bonus: Familiarity with using Docker for development
  • Bonus: Familiarity with UI testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Karma, etc.)
  • Bonus: Experience with WebSocket communications
