Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related field
  • Participation in EcoCAR/AutoDrive competition is preferred
  • Strong foundation in software development with experience in embedded software design and development using C++/C/Python/Simulink
  • Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and serial data communication
  • Understanding of vehicle electrical architecture systems and standards
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license
  • No need for GM immigration-related sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop diagnostic software solutions as part of a larger team, participating in future development
  • Collaborate with Diagnostic Architecture Engineers in refining requirements, and system design reviews to drive software (C/C++) solutions
  • Participate in software design, and low-level test case reviews
  • Conduct software verification (unit testing, simulation, and in-vehicle as needed)
  • Provide clear and complete documentation per the software development process
  • Work collaboratively with team members within an agile workflow
  • Take ownership of each task and ensure timely completion of design, testing, and implementation activities with a focus on quality
  • Be an integral part of an energetic team
  • Average travel requirements of 1-2 weeks a year, including travel to the US
