Candidates must be located in Oklahoma and have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse investigations and audits. Experience reviewing and analyzing claims data for CPT and HCPCS codes is required, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, MS Outlook, database search tools, and internet research. The ability to utilize company systems for electronic documentation and to travel for legal proceedings is also necessary. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or equivalent experience with an additional two years in healthcare fraud investigations, is preferred.
The SIU Investigator will conduct investigations to prevent, investigate, and prosecute healthcare fraud and abuse, recover lost funds, and comply with state regulations. This includes investigating known or suspected acts of fraud, communicating with law enforcement, preventing fraudulent claims, and facilitating the recovery of company funds. The role involves providing input on fraud controls, delivering educational programs on fraud deterrence and detection, and maintaining communication with internal and external constituents. Investigators will use available resources and technology to develop evidence, prepare cases for review, document activities, and make referrals within required timeframes. They will also manage outside resources cost-effectively and attend/present at quarterly state meetings.
