Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration with extensive experience
  • Proficiency in computer networking and working knowledge
  • Utilization of a wide variety of open source technologies and tools, with strong emphasis on cloud services
  • Implementation of best practices and IT operations to maintain always-up, always-available service
  • Participation in on-call rotation schedule

  • Strong background in Linux networking, including IP, iptables, and IPsec
  • Effective work with MySQL databases (experience in MariaDB, Percona a plus)
  • Understanding and application of coding and scripting skills, preferably Perl, Python, or Golang
  • Experience with automation and configuration management using tools like SaltStack
  • Hands-on experience with private cloud environments
  • Desirable Skills
  • Experience implementing cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU
  • Familiarity with container orchestration technology
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases, especially Aerospike
  • Proficiency in Perl and Golang
  • Understanding of Galera cluster operations
  • Experience with data center related activities
