Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, Shell, or Bash are required, along with experience in automation and scripting tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools like Terraform or Ansible is also desired.
The Site Reliability Engineer II will ensure the reliability of software systems by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure, monitoring system performance, responding to incidents promptly, and performing capacity planning. They will develop automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks, implement infrastructure as code practices, and collaborate with security teams on security best practices. Additionally, the role involves participating in on-call rotations, developing disaster recovery plans, and continuously analyzing system performance to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall system resilience.
