Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience in the planning and civil engineering design of mixed use, residential, commercial, institutional, and public site development projects
  • Primary experience in the District of Columbia and/or Suburban Maryland and NOVA preferred
  • EIT Required
  • Ability to prepare plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Ability to assist with the preparation of engineering studies and reports
  • Technical proficiency in using AutoCAD including Civil 3D and/or Microstation

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the project manager and supporting engineering staff in the preparation of construction documents
  • Design of site and infrastructure improvements including grading, dry and wet utilities, erosion control, and stormwater management
  • Preparation of calculations and reports that support design
  • Processing construction documents through the regulatory agencies in the District of Columbia
  • Construction administration duties as assigned
