Requirements

  • Minimum MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Internal Combustion Engine, Aeronautics/Astronautics, Engineering Mechanics or equivalent, focusing on vibration (NVH) test and simulation, numerical methods, reduced order modeling, or integrated machine learning & numerical simulation
  • Knowledge of FEA or other numerical simulation theory
  • Proficiency with CAE tools, such as Abaqus, Nastran, or equivalent engineering analysis software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong initiative and teamwork skills
  • Nonlinear vibration knowledge (preferred)
  • Machine learning experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging engineering problems involving products, systems, and components using advanced simulation techniques and analysis
  • Ensure vibration analysis of Cab, light fabrication, and Hydraulics meets design requirements
  • Critically evaluate concepts for future products
  • Work with design engineers to resolve vibration issues
  • Deliver timely, high-quality simulation and analysis impacting products/processes and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders
  • Define problems, create simulation models, run simulations and design iterations, interpret results, and provide conclusions
  • Partner with design, manufacturing, and test teams to deliver new products and improve validation processes
  • Keep up to date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques
  • Support physical tests to verify simulation solutions
  • Participate in design reviews with the wider design team
  • Archive analysis, simulation models, and results
