Requirements

  • Must be available for 2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday
  • Must be available for overtime
  • Ability to coordinate and assist shipping department employees
  • Knowledge of shipping processes, including planning, scheduling, routing, and tracking
  • Familiarity with customer websites, JDE, AS400, shipping processors, and export compliance
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, perform cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Capability to troubleshoot shipping issues (e.g., lost freight, missing packages, damaged products)
  • Commitment to housekeeping standards (5S) and compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate shipping department employees to ensure timely product flow, assist with order picking, and maintain focus
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all shipping activities for timely delivery
  • Follow customers' preferred routing, schedule on customer websites, email shipment info, or use pre-chosen providers on BOL
  • Prepare customs/commercial invoices for exports and shippers' letters of instructions
  • Utilize shipping processor to send tubs to platers timely
  • Combine shipping documents, labels, and bills of lading; combine orders for pool locations
  • Coordinate with carriers and track deliveries
  • Communicate with customers on shipping details, schedules, delays (using JDE, 7-day verification, or freight websites)
  • Provide customer service by facilitating communication between reps and customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues
  • Maintain accurate records of shipping/receiving, scan documents to community folder, inform coordinators
  • Identify/resolve discrepancies, delays, issues by collaborating with Master Planner, data specialist, purchasing manager, production/plant managers
  • Complete Advanced Shipment Notifications in AS400 or customer websites per specs
  • Handle Export Compliance, file forms for US exports
  • Assist with warehouse cycle counts for inventory accuracy
  • Assist Quality department with part inquiries/issues (holds, returns, inspections)
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues like lost freight, missing packages, damaged products
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, safety standards
  • Maintain supply counts for boxing, labeling, wrapping, palletizing
  • Maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor
