Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Mechanical Engineering (ME), with a minimum of five years of experience in servo-controller design for mechanical dynamic systems, including experience with design tradeoffs for feedback and feedforward solutions. They should have at least five years of experience in Matlab and proficiency in coding in C/C++, along with strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, and excellent global communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Servo Control Engineer will be responsible for optimizing the high performance and robust motion control designs, and real-time servo firmware development for enterprise-class hard disk drives. They will architect a robust servo system, compensating for environmental variables, research, design, develop, and maintain tools and equipment for characterization and qualification, provide failure analysis support, collaborate with other teams on design improvements, evaluate feasibility of advanced technologies through simulation and prototyping.
