Requirements

  • Student working toward a bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technician preferred, but will also consider Mechanical or Computer Engineer)
  • Willingness to learn tools such as 8D, 5 whys, Quality Alerts to resolve quality issues
  • Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Adherence to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices, and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual

Responsibilities

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPI) management
  • Troubleshooting battery systems and equipment
  • Tracking service site maintenance
  • Tracking service tool change requests
  • Assisting in structured problem-solving process (8D) for customer returns
  • Supporting lessons learned read across activity to other plants or regions
  • Coordinating problem solving between engineering and service technicians
  • Supporting the development of a training plan
  • Conducting time studies of service technicians
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
