ConnectOS is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join their team. The role involves developing and implementing SEO strategies for Australia's largest independent publisher, aiming to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in SEO, preferably within the news or publishing industry.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in SEO, Google Analytics, or related areas.
- Experience with Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) strategies and understanding of AI-driven search engines.
- Familiarity with schema markup, structured data, and other advanced SEO techniques.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic growth.
- Conduct thorough keyword research to identify high-value search terms relevant to our content and audience.
- Perform on-page optimisation, including meta tags, headers, content structure, and internal linking.
- Execute technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues affecting site performance, crawlability, and indexation.
- Collaborate with editorial, commercial, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and website development.
- Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs, and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, including developments in GEO, to ensure our strategies remain effective.
- Develop and manage link-building campaigns to enhance domain authority and search visibility.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on SEO best practices and emerging trends.
