Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience within the Medical Device or IVD industry
  • Expertise in statistical analysis software (JMP/Minitab, etc.) and methods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to get plans into actions
  • Prior experience in the area of biomedical or blood gas sensor design and development (desired)
  • Able to travel up to 10% for training, Kaizen events (may include some international travel)

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel sensor and membrane designs to support product development and innovation efforts
  • Provide analysis, testing and evaluation of complex sensor/system designs, sensor manufacturing processes and techniques, and patentable concepts
  • Provide accurate design of experiments, interpretation and presentation of experimental data by creating clear and concise summary reports
  • Execute verification and validation of sensor constructions and provide technical expertise to support manufacturing
  • Analyze field data with a focus on quality improvement and delivery and identify sustainable countermeasures to stabilize sensor performance
  • Apply insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve biosensor consumable product quality and in support of business goals and objectives
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and methods to drive to root cause, effective countermeasures to ensure sustainment
