Requirements

Formal qualification such as HNC, HND or degree in a relevant Engineering/Scientific discipline
Proven track record integrating Vision Systems and Automated inspection solutions, ideally using Cognex and Keyence
Programming experience in C / C#
Knowledge of code readers
Control system skills in Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley PLC platforms (beneficial but not a prerequisite)
Experience with vision libraries and frameworks such as OpenCV or PyTorch (nice to have)
Track record of accomplishing objectives, working proactively, and managing own time effectively
Ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents in a highly regulated industry

Responsibilities

Support test strip and biosensor manufacturing processes
Provide innovative approach to problem solving and stay abreast of current developments in vision systems technology
Collaborate with engineering colleagues across manufacturing and R&D
Involved in all aspects of vision systems projects: scoping initial requirements, generating proposals and specifications, design, development, and installation across automated manufacturing equipment
Develop and promote a Machine Vision strategy for the department
Advise on latest industry trends, methodologies, and emerging applications
Lead on sourcing and supplier selection
