Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in production Backend & Video Engineering using Golang, C, C++, or similar languages, with a proven track record of contributing to large projects from start to finish. A strong understanding of general-purpose programming languages and distributed systems is required, along with experience in SRE principles, observability, and high-availability. Prior experience with Go, C, Modern C++, ffmpeg/libav, HLS, DASH, or fMP4 is a plus.
The Senior Video Software Engineer will collaborate with the team on technical roadmaps and product goals, build foundations for future media products and features, and develop and evolve the transcoding platform to support new capabilities and video quality. Responsibilities include working on encoding a wide variety of video at scale, designing and building services and video processing tooling, and ensuring features meet reliability and performance SLIs in collaboration with platform and video delivery teams.
