Requirements

  • Fluent in code for product-quality prototypes, modern web stack (TypeScript/JavaScript, React or Vue, HTML/CSS)
  • Portfolio showcasing a range of technical skills, a creative use of code, and prototyping skills
  • 5+ years of experience contributing on design teams
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree, or equivalent in related work experience
  • Designs and builds web-based, production-adjacent prototypes to explore future vision and flows
  • Strong creative vision and ability to switch from blue sky ideation to tactical thinking to execute and test new ideas efficiently
  • Shares work and ideas beyond own team and enjoys engaging with global design community
  • Experience mentoring other designers on design prototyping whilst welcoming feedback from others
  • Available for synchronous collaboration 14:00-18:00 UTC

Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive prototypes aligned with product vision, leveraging live data and strong interaction principles
  • Run iterative experiments: define hypotheses and success criteria, prototype, test with users, and synthesize results
  • Work with product and design to prototype and iterate on intelligent workflows and user interactions
  • Distill complex concepts into easy to understand talking points to engage with communities throughout the design process
  • Liaise and confer with the Product Design team to ensure prototypes are aligned and consistent with design system and guidelines
  • Document and provide clear handover materials to the returning Moderator Tools designer
  • Join team meetings on product and functional design teams
  • Share design work for critique on a regular basis at Design team reviews
