The California annual base salary for this role is currently $150,000-$170,000. Pay Grades are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market.
This role is onsite at our Playa Vista, California office and requires in-office presence. Our office headquarters is located in Playa Vista, CA.
Candidates need a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent), typically 5+ years of experience with materials for extreme temperature environments, experience using Siemens NX or similar CAD software, and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The role involves working effectively in a fast-paced environment, alongside aerothermal and structures teams, and prior experience in startups or small independent teams is desired.
Strong candidates have desired experience in design, testing, and integration of thermal protection systems for hypersonic or reentry vehicles, working with ablative or ceramic TPS, understanding of aerothermal heating and thermal environments, plus startup experience.
