Responsibilities

  • Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities equipment or fixtures by following schedules, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, observing wear and tear, gathering capital expense information, recommending repairs, determining replacement needs, and documenting activities
  • Repairs, installs, and finishes drywall using taping, mudding, and sanding techniques
  • Performs wall inspections, identifies damage, and completes patching or full panel replacement
  • Preps surfaces, primes, and paints using rollers, brushes, or sprayers for a smooth professional finish
  • Selects paint types, colors, and finishes to match existing décor and durability needs
  • Trains junior staff on drywall handling, surface prep, and safe painting practices
  • Maintains clean work areas and documents all repairs and material usage
  • Ensures projects meet company quality and safety standards while minimizing downtime
  • Performs major and minor repairs on facilities equipment or fixtures
  • Oversees work of junior level associates by determining scopes of work, acting as job foreman, inspecting/operating/testing equipment, dismantling to access/remove defective parts, diagnosing problems, and ensuring quality/safety/code requirements
  • Ensures financial sustainability and manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing/providing documentation (e.g., expense vouchers, summaries, logs), conducting price comparisons, ordering/tracking parts, managing inventory, recording purchases/usage, compiling budget info, submitting warranty claims, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing supplier/contractor relationships, and verifying contractor standards
  • Provides and supports implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships
