Requirements

Candidates should possess ten (10) years of relevant experience in DoD systems acquisition, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, and U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred experience includes coordination of program updates with a Service Headquarters, preparing updates to OSD and Congress on a DoD product, and experience within the DoD Biometrics community or Interagency Biometrics stakeholders. Strong knowledge of DoD Biometric Enterprise, NIEM standards, EBTS, ISO/IEC 24745, and other relevant international standards is essential.

Responsibilities

The Senior Systems Engineer will evaluate systems interfacing with biometric repositories to ensure compliance with DoD Biometric Enterprise, NIEM standards, EBTS, and ISO/IEC 24745, reviewing and analyzing biometric testing programs, providing actionable recommendations for alignment with standards, analyzing CDRL deliverables from System Integrator (SI) contracts, conducting annual system assessments, preparing yearly analysis and recommendations for continuity of operations and disaster recovery, facilitating Integrated Product Teams and design reviews, and preparing systems engineering documentation in accordance with Army Regulation 70-1 and DoD Instruction 5000.02.
