Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in embedded firmware development and testing, scripting, embedded Linux, C/C++, and Python; OR minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience in these areas with an advanced degree
  • Demonstrated experience in wireless/networking or an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience with lab instruments such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
  • Successful clearance of a background check

Responsibilities

  • Design and test complete solutions using Silvus hardware and software products that solve unique technical problems and provide full coverage of wireless communication system feature sets
  • Design and implement logging and log analysis tools to capture performance of both the systems under test and the test infrastructure itself
  • Help define new products and features to fill gaps and perform product evaluations and field tests and trials for new product features and accessories
  • Work closely with the software development team to augment production test systems to support rollout of new features and product configurations
  • Perform manufacturing failure troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production failures escalated to engineering
  • Test and harden existing features through firmware and hardware changes in realistic applications
