Requirements

  • MS in EE, CE, Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of experience in a related hardware engineering position
  • Previous experience with silicon bringup, frequency and power characterization, PPA in Pre-Silicon or Post-Silicon phases, tester-to-system correlation
  • Experience with JMP or equivalent data analysis tools and lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQ)
  • Scripting experience with Perl/Python
  • Exposure to Windows, Linux, and Android OS environments
  • Ways to stand out
  • Some familiarity with statistical methods and tools for data analysis
  • A "go-getter, can get it done" attitude and independent mindset

Responsibilities

  • Understand chip HW features and intersection with speed characteristics; develop state-of-the-art characterization/validation strategies for these features
  • Understand new silicon features and create internal characterization plans to validate benefits, functionality, etc
  • Drive new feature testing methodology initiatives and implementation plan across multiple business units; translate hardware features design requirements to silicon speed characterization needs and test requirements for Productization
  • Work alongside system architects, chip and board designers, software/firmware engineers, HW/SW applications engineering, process/reliability specialists, DFx engineers, ATE engineers, product managers, sales, and operations, in a multifaceted, high-energy work environment to bring industry-defining products to market
  • Design tools and scripts to automate characterization, data collection, test case execution, and results analysis
  • Prototype and fine-tune the testing methodology to suit the needs of the next generation products
  • Build pre and post-silicon bring up flow and methodologies for productization quality and efficiency when characterizing silicon
  • Build tools/automation scripts required for smooth execution of test plans for productization; continuously drive efficiency improvements to ensure timely execution of projects
  • Architect essential testability features for next-generation product that are vital for performance, power optimization and management techniques all the way from feature definition to production; working with multi-functional teams
  • Correlate silicon behavior across different platforms and simulation expectations, and provide design feedback
  • Find creative solutions to complex silicon and system level problems and be on the frontline to lead show-stopper bugs, in order to enable product shipment
  • Collaborate with the best minds in NVIDIA across various teams (System Architecture, PDE, Application Engineering, Product Manager, Sales, and Operations) in a dynamic, creative work environment to bring industry-defining products to market
