Requirements

  • Expertise in driving Zero Defect Strategy and continual improvement in supply base for compliance and risk mitigation in complex programs or key customers
  • Ability to represent supplier quality function to customers, external auditors, and internal teams for incoming raw material and services
  • Strong technical knowledge and indirect leadership skills to apply quality fundamentals and influence suppliers to meet or exceed expectations
  • Proficiency in risk-based supplier qualification, selection, and evaluation
  • Experience leading supplier audits using effective auditing practices and Quality Management System for new programs and ongoing management
  • Knowledge of managing purchased product specifications, identifying Critical to Quality features, and completing part qualification via Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Capability to connect part qualification to receiving inspection, including setting sampling plans and inspection criteria
  • Participation in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and handling supplier change requests to drive Zero Defect strategies
  • Skills in leading supplier corrective actions across supply chain levels using non-conforming parts, data trends, and audit findings
  • Ability to analyze data for trends and provide feedback to drive supplier performance improvements

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier qualification as a key member in supplier selection and evaluation teams using a risk-based approach
  • Lead supplier audits applying effective auditing practices and the Quality Management System in both new programs and ongoing supplier management
  • Manage purchased product specifications to identify Critical to Quality features and complete part qualification activities using Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to flow customer requirements into the supply base
  • Connect part qualification activities into receiving inspection, setting sampling plans and inspection criteria
  • Represent Supplier Quality in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) teams and supplier change requests as a key member driving Zero Defect strategies into the supply chain
  • Lead supplier corrective action activities at multiple levels of the supply chain using non-conforming parts, data trends, and supplier audit findings
  • Analyze data to identify trends and provide suppliers feedback to drive performance improvements
