Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and a proven track record of building and operating production systems at scale. They should also have 2+ years of experience leading engineering initiatives, driving technical direction, and/or mentoring team members, along with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and business problems across diverse and evolving software architectures.

Responsibilities

The Senior Staff Software Engineer will provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, tackle complex software engineering challenges by swiftly identifying and implementing effective technical solutions, write clean, efficient, scalable, and reusable code with a strong focus on performance and reliability, champion unit testing and code quality, and influence and contribute to system architecture, database design, and API development. They will also partner closely with Product Managers to define, scope, and prioritize new features and functionality, and collaborate with senior leadership to align on strategic initiatives and tackle critical business challenges with technology solutions.
