As a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer, you'll work on end-to-end features (backend & frontend) using modern technologies like RoR, Java, GoLang, Angular, React, Redis, and PostgreSQL. You’ll develop products used by some of the biggest corporations in the world, build integrations with strategic partners, and collaborate closely with the US team and customers to shape the logistics and supply chain industry.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from a reputed institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Software Engineering and Web application development.
- Software Design: Good understanding of software design, Microservices architecture, object-oriented principles, and design patterns.
- Development: Experience with Design and development of highest quality software/services using RoR/Golang/Java.
- APIs & Architecture: Good knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Java: Strong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Cloud Services: Experience with one of Azure, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud services.
- Databases: Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Frontend (Plus): Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Tools: Strong knowledge of Git (branches, submodules, rebasing) and other Agile tools such as JIRA & Confluence.
- Methodology: Agile SDLC experience.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Development & Optimization: Design, architect, implement, test, profile, release, and optimize highest quality software/services using RoR/Golang/Java.
- Product Collaboration: Partner with product managers to analyze product requirements and plan engineering execution.
- Documentation: Document HLD/LLD for easy knowledge sharing and future scaling.
- Code Quality: Perform design and code reviews. Implement code with very high coverage of unit tests and component tests.
- Team Collaboration: Cross-training peers and mentoring teammates.
- Expertise: Possess expert knowledge in performance, security, scalability, architecture, and best practices.
- Problem Solving: Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
- UI Collaboration: Collaborate with UX designers to develop responsive user interface components.
- Data Stores: Working knowledge of SQL based (any RDBMS) and NOSQL data stores (any one) with the ability to write intermediate level SQL.
- Backend Development: Experience in building Web application backends using Java Spring Boot or similar.
- Frontend Frameworks (Plus): Experience with frontend libraries/frameworks such as React/Angular is a plus.
