Candidates must possess over 8 years of experience in Detection Engineering and Algorithm Development, leveraging SIEM solutions and other security technologies. A minimum of 5 years of practical experience is required in Java, Python, SQL, and Splunk. Experience with Databricks, Linux environments, and REST APIs is essential. Familiarity with public cloud platforms and cybersecurity is highly recommended. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience, is also required.
The Senior Specialist will review documentation submitted to and created by the Algorithm Development team, analyze data feeds, and provide feedback to the STORM platform team. Responsibilities include documenting feed information during onboarding, researching threat scenarios, developing algorithms for threat detection, and testing and onboarding alarms. The role also involves growing knowledge of cybersecurity, team processes, and systems, implementing solutions based on requirements, and writing and testing Java and Python code.
