The Senior Software Engineering Manager requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically in C++ development, and at least 3 years in a leadership role managing software engineering teams. Strong experience with software architecture, integration, and testing is essential, as well as familiarity with agile development methodologies. Experience with frontend technologies such as React/TypeScript is preferred.
This role involves leading and mentoring a team of C++ software engineers, defining technical strategies and standards, implementing software solutions, driving software/hardware integration and testing, overseeing agile project management, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring code quality through reviews and testing, and resolving complex technical issues. The manager will also be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team, ensuring high-quality software delivery, and collaborating with product and program managers to deliver reliable software to command-and-control teams for mission-critical aircraft platforms.
