Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in building low-latency software applications that scale, along with strong experience in high-level languages such as Python and TypeScript. They should have experience working with cloud platforms like AWS and with both SQL and NoSQL databases, and a demonstrated ability to write testable, maintainable code.
As a Senior Software Engineer, the individual will be responsible for building and maintaining the risk and fraud platform, including interfaces with data scientist models and client code, while also contributing to the planning of the platform’s future technological path. They will learn from Staff Engineers and Data Scientists, mentor junior engineers, and participate in the team’s on-call program, ensuring proactive protection of Eventbrite users from fraud and abuse.
