Requirements
- Experience building and shipping user-facing software in complex ecosystems
- Self-driven with a passion for writing clean software, using the right tools for the job, and avoiding dogma
- Ability to work with significant autonomy across the full stack (search, databases, data visualization, machine learning/AI, real-time collaboration, front-end UI)
- Full-time availability for on-site position in Oakland, California with hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote)
Responsibilities
- Build customer-facing features representing the core product, including document and image/multi-modal processing, collaborative review tools, organization, translation tools, search, and review
- Use AI technologies (e.g., document classification, predictive coding, transfer learning, LLMs) to find evidence rapidly
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering Operations, Security Engineering, and DevOps teams to build and implement new features for production environments
- Help scale the system to handle larger datasets with hundreds of millions of documents
- Provide technical mentorship to other engineers by sharing knowledge and becoming an expert in areas of the codebase
- Act as a code reviewer, reviewing code using knowledge of programming languages, design patterns, and best practices
- Fix defects by triaging product or system issues and writing code
