They must be proficient in modern programming practices like code review, unit testing, and automation, and possess a passion for building excellent products with a sense of ownership. Experience in resolving problems, signaling risk, fostering change, and facilitating collaborative decision-making is also required, along with a commitment to Mozilla's values.
The Senior Software Engineer will build, debug, and ship Android features and solutions that promote a healthy and inclusive internet. They will collaborate with partners to define scope and requirements, drive initiatives, and communicate the engineering development perspective to both technical and non-technical team members. Responsibilities include defining and upholding quality standards through code reviews and testing, working with Gecko teams to bring browser functionality to Android, and addressing problems across various layers of the application, including the C++ browser engine. Additionally, the engineer will provide solutions and feedback to the open-source community to improve Android solutions and support Mozilla's manifesto.
