Requirements

The Senior Software Engineer, Mobile requires expertise in Android development (Kotlin or Java), particularly in building SDKs or developer tools, and experience shipping libraries or frameworks used by external developers. Bonus points are given for experience with iOS development (Swift / Objective-C), React Native, Flutter, or Unity, as well as contributions to open source projects or public developer communities. Deep knowledge of memory management, threading, and mobile system internals is also essential, alongside strong debugging skills and an appreciation for writing safe, scalable, crash-free code.

Responsibilities

This role involves designing and building features such as Session Replay, Autocapture, and Feature Flags into SDKs for Android and other mobile platforms, developing and maintaining Mixpanel’s suite of mobile SDKs, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across platforms, leading technical projects end-to-end, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and GTM to define and prioritize initiatives, helping drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for mobile analytics, exploring new mobile frameworks, and balancing technical excellence, user experience, and business impact. The engineer will also navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and help shape product direction.
