Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of industry experience in designing, building, scaling, and supporting front-end systems in production, with a strong foundation in software engineering best practices. Familiarity with software development tools like Semaphore CI and Jenkins is required, along with proven experience in mentoring team members, strong understanding of JS fundamentals, hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS, and unit/integration testing frameworks. Experience in building user-centric applications and large-scale frontend infrastructures is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to advancing Confluent's cloud platform by architecting, designing, developing, and operationalizing high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient user experiences. They will partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to drive complex technical projects, propose and implement technical initiatives to improve code quality, observability, and testing, and guide the team in architectural design decisions. The role involves upholding engineering excellence through active participation in technical discussions, reviewing specifications, and transforming ambiguous technical problems into actionable plans.
