Requirements

Candidates should possess 6 to 8+ years of professional backend development experience with production-grade systems. Required technical expertise includes Ruby, Rails, Go, APIs (REST, GraphQL), Kafka, and PostgreSQL. A strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and serverless patterns is essential. The role also requires proven ability to guide junior engineers, set technical direction, identify and propose trade-offs, reduce complexity while maintaining quality, and propose streamlined development strategies. Familiarity with front-end technologies like Typescript and React is a plus. Fluency in English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer II will collaborate with engineers and Product Owners to translate requirements into effective and maintainable implementations. Responsibilities include ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance through unit testing and documentation, and aligning work with existing architectural patterns. The engineer will document and communicate work clearly, participate in code reviews and technical discussions, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. They will also participate in demos and sprint reviews, mentor junior backend developers, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce scope or streamline implementation without sacrificing user value or maintainability.
