Responsibilities

Drive adoption of containers and Kubernetes
Improve reliability of large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure
Automate operations and provide self-service runtime platform
Accelerate product & ML engineering velocity
Contribute to design and implementation of observability & CI/CD on Kubernetes
Build and support reliable infrastructure for search retrieval, ranking, and ML models
Maintain and upgrade GKE addons (CertManager, Gatekeeper), ingress controllers (Contour, Envoy), telemetry components (kube-prometheus, AlertManager, Karma), and container security
Support CI/CD platform (Buildkite) for hundreds of engineers deploying to GKE
Standardize cluster and application security, admission policies, and container vulnerability scanning
Establish standard SLI/SLO for services on Kubernetes
Support Search, ML & Gen AI teams with GPU utilization across zones/regions
Evaluate build vs. buy decisions in LLM space
Enable service mesh across GKE for native service access
