Requirements

  • Strong technical background and experience building production web applications
  • Strong experience as a full stack or backend developer with Ruby (Rails experience is a bonus)
  • Understand how to write, analyze, and optimize SQL queries (PostgreSQL is a plus)
  • Customer-focused, with attention to detail and value for quality
  • Experience building Ruby on Rails applications and APIs

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to provide elegant solutions to Wrapbook customer problems
  • Lead and decompose complex, ambiguous projects into actionable technical tasks
  • Take ownership of feature delivery from concept to production
  • Write performant, scalable, and secure backend code in Ruby on Rails
  • Design and optimize data models and SQL queries (PostgreSQL)
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor and learn from fellow engineers, and help raise the technical bar
  • Ensure code is well-tested and well-architected
  • Actively improve our tools, processes, and best practices
