Requirements

  • Years of professional software development experience, particularly with Python
  • Strong technical skills and works well across teams — trusted partner to other engineering leaders and managers
  • Thrives in ambiguity — brings ideas to the table and helps shape the path forward
  • Designs and implements systems that are clear, maintainable, and correct, whether greenfield or legacy
  • Excited to own work end-to-end: from the first line of code, through cohort releases, to a full production rollout
  • Moves fast, but knows when to build for the long term
  • Passionate about parts of the stack — Python, Django, JavaScript/React, TypeScript, Postgres, gRPC, and Kafka (experience in all not required)

Responsibilities

  • Contribute as a full team member on the LP Experience Team
  • Work on projects that directly support Carta’s revenue goals and improve the experience for all users
  • Develop a Closings product to make fundraising seamless
  • Create tailored experiences for complex ownership structures
  • Improve Carta’s platform to better serve all LPs
  • Collaborate closely with teams across Fund Admin R&D to solve meaningful problems and deliver impactful results
